MEANING OF SCHOOL NAME
The model of “University City” is reaching out to develop in the land of nine dragons extremely honored and proud to be named Vo Truong Toan – One of the first teachers of Vietnamese education. Famous for being a great, talented, and erudite teacher, always mentioned and honored by the next generation.
He was honored by Southern scholars as “Thai Son Bac Dau”. Throughout his life, he lived a pure life without regard to fame and gain, refused to become a mandarin, but devoted himself to reading, writing and teaching. He focuses on training students to be human and talented. He opened a school to train outstanding political, military, cultural and educational leaders in Gia Dinh at that time. The generations of Confucian scholars and scholars in ancient Gia Dinh, although not directly receiving the teacher, were all students of the disciples trained by the teacher. All of them respected the virtues and learned from the master’s books.
